The secrecy at Philips Hue has once again worked extremely badly this half-year. Three new products have already been distributed on the internet before they were publicly announced. In the past years, Philips Hue has always presented its new products around the International Consumer Electronics Fair in Berlin. It can be assumed that this will also be the case in 2022.
Philips Hue Play Gradient Light Strip
The Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip is not really new, it has been working behind numerous TVs with a size of 50 to 80 inches for some time now. Until now, PC gamers had to resort to the Play Lightbar or other light sources for the illumination behind the monitor. Now it is clear: at least for displays with 24 to 27 inches, there will soon be an adapted Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip. And I would be very surprised if larger PC screens did not also receive a corresponding model. Great: No Sync Box is required for use with a PC or Mac, only the Sync App.
Philips Hue E14 Filament White Ambiance
Last year, the E14 candle lamp with filament light filaments came onto the market, but equipped only with dimmable White technology. Now Philips Hue is launching its smallest filament lamp with White Ambiance technology. That doesn't sound spectacular, but the adjustable white tones make a big difference in everyday life.
Philips Hue E27 Lightguide
The new Lightguide series will comprise three models at the launch: Globe, Ellipse and Triangular. They have a highly visible glass bulb inside that can shine with White and Color Ambiance technology with up to 500 lumens at 2,700 Kelvin. Unfortunately, not quite cheap fun, prices start at around 80 euros.
Philips Hue Perifo track system
Already announced in summer, the Perifo track system will be launched on the European market on 13 September. There will be different bundles, you will also be able to create your own configuration via the Philips Hue site. I have already summarised the first impressions around the installation of the Perifo system for you.
Philips Hue Go portable table lamp
Actually, the new and very interesting model of the Philips Hue Go was supposed to be released in late summer. However, this will not happen in Europe: the certification was not successful. So we will have to be patient until the beginning of 2023. The situation is completely different in the USA and Canada, where the portable table lamp will be launched in the coming weeks.
Will this be all that Philips Hue will show? As far as I know, several exciting, innovative products are entering the final stage of development. However, we cannot assume that they will be presented around the IFA in Berlin.
