Two weeks after the last update for the Philips Hue app, the next update is already available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You can now download version 5.22 of the Hue app to your devices. The update is particularly interesting if you have Hue Secure cameras in use.
From now on, Philips Hue cameras can automatically trigger an alarm without you first having to tap on a message and start the alarm manually. If you have a Hue Secure subscription, the alarms can even be triggered only when a specific movement is detected. Thanks to AI technology, the alarm can be limited to people, animals, vehicles or parcels.
But that’s not all. In the Hue app, it is now even easier to arm the alarm system. Directly in the Home view, you can now tap on the small icon on the right-hand side of the Secure tile to arm or disarm your home.
This should also work automatically with one of the upcoming updates. Not with geofencing and the presence of certain people, but at least with a fixed schedule.
