Philips Hue has taken a little more time this year and today, just two weeks after the world’s largest trade fair for consumer electronics, presented its new products for the start of 2024. As in previous years, it’s a rather small number, but there are some very interesting candidates.
The new Philips Hue Dymera wall light
On Monday, I was already able to provide you with the first information about the new Dymera wall light, which made an early start in the Philips Hue online shop. The wall light, which is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, will be available from the end of February for 219.99 euros.
“The Philips Hue Dymera wall light combines functionality with style and offers individual control options for two light beams directed upwards and downwards. Both light sources can be controlled independently, but also coordinated in a scene,” writes Philips Hue in a press release.

Two new connectors for the Perifo track system
I’m particularly pleased about these new releases because they mean I can finally install the Hue Perifo track system in another room. A T-piece for the Philips Hue Perifo will be released exclusively in the Philips Hue online shop in the first quarter. But beware: at 39.99 euros, the price is more than steep. On the other hand, it will also enable installations and branches that were previously not possible.
From mid-February, there will also be a flexible connector for Philips Hue. This will not only enable “corners” with a flexible angle, but also transitions from the wall to the ceiling and vice versa. A rather interesting option that will be offered at a list price of 34.99 euros.

Pendant lights from the 3D printer
The 3D-printed Philips Hue pendant light cord has been specially developed to complement the popular Philips Hue Filament lamps. The pendant light cord is available in black or white and in two sizes. The 3D-printed components are made from 55 per cent biocircular material, which is obtained from waste and residues of biological origin. It will be available from February 2024 for a price starting at 59.99 euros.
Improvements for Philips Hue Secure announced
Philips Hue Secure is now also available as a complete starter set with camera, contact sensors, lamps and bridge. Even more exciting: the floodlight camera announced last year is now available at a price of 349.99 euros. And there will also be a lot happening in terms of software in the coming weeks.
Updates are expected in the first half of 2024, including improvements to the security push notifications and the event timeline as well as an automatic light and sound alarm when motion is detected. Philips Hue is also working on support for Amazon Alexa and Google Home for the Philips Hue Secure System. I will keep you up to date with the latest developments here.

Does anyone know if the T connector legs can be rotated freely from the configuration shown in the user guide – (left) A->B, (right) A->B, (T-leg) A->B? It looks like it. I’m installing a big rail config on a ceiling in advance of it being available, and really want to avoid having to turn the whole thing around to exchange A and B. If you are doing this as well, be careful because you don’t have complete connection flexibility with the T: there are 2 A-polarity and 1 B-polarity legs.
