Last week, we talked about the upcoming Philips Hue White. An E27 lamp in the classic Hue form factor and able to produce up to 1,600 lumens of brightness – unfortunately only with a fixed colour temperature of 2,700 Kelvin.
Now Müller-Licht has presented a new lamp under the umbrella of its Tint brand. It offers a similarly high brightness with up to 1,520 lumens but at the same time does not dispense with different white tones and colours.
In addition to 16 million colours, white tones ranging from warm white light (1800K) to activating daylight (6500K) are also possible. It is also clear, however, that the maximum 1,520 lumen is only achieved with very cold white tones.
Nevertheless, it will be exciting to see how the Tint Globeform will perform in terms of the representation and brightness of colours compared to the familiar Hue lamp. In any case there is enough space for LED modules: the spherical lamp has a diameter of 12 cm and a length of 15.8 cm.
