With the latest update to version 5.21, Philips Hue has not only introduced some scenes, but also new functions. I have already explained how you can start sleep automation at the touch of a button. Another new feature is the option to hide rooms and zones on the start page. I’ll explain exactly how this works today.
Especially if you have created a lot of rooms and zones, it can get quite confusing on the start page of the Hue app. You can already easily move unimportant rooms or zones to the bottom of the list. If you want to keep things even tidier, simply hide these entries from now on.
The step-by-step instructions to follow
To do this, simply tap on the icon with the three dots at the top right of the Hue app home page and then select “Edit Home”. You can then select the desired rooms or zones, several of course, and then tap “Hide” at the bottom.
The selected rooms and zones will then be hidden on the start page in the “Hidden” area. You can open this area with the arrow symbol to control the light in the respective rooms.
On one of my Hue Bridges, I have already been able to tidy things up a bit. In addition to my test room, I have also hidden the “Christmas” zone, which I won’t need again for another three and a half months.
