Just one week after the major update to version 5.8, with which Philips Hue has given the wall switch module, among other things, a major upgrade, the next update is already available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The update to version 5.9 is a little smaller and mainly deals with the Hue Tap Dial Switch.
Earlier this year, Philips Hue didn’t make any huge announcements apart from the Hue Sync TV app. A new outdoor wall lamp, the launch date for the Hue Go table lamp in Europe and an alternative version of the Hue Tap Dial switch. So far, the switch comes with an 8 x 8 centimetre magnetic wall mount that also fits beautifully on an empty switch box.
Besides the big announcement around the Philips Hue Sync TV app and the Samsung Smart TVs, there are some more smaller news from Philips Hue at the beginning of the year. Finally the time has come: Philips Hue has introduced new products. As of today, the first new light sources and also a new switch are already available, and more new products are to be launched by late summer. And as I can already announce: What Philips Hue has shown today will not be all for the year 2022.
