I really wouldn’t have expected this a little over a week ago. After it looked really bad for weeks around the availability of the Philips Hue wall switch module, the tide has suddenly turned. Since the weekend, the popular new release, which could only be ordered on a few days since March, is consistently available for order in the German online store of Philips Hue.
A dimmable plug for Philips Hue? Something like that has actually existed before, even from Signify itself. At least somehow, because you can easily pair the Philips LivingWhites Plug with the Hue Bridge and then use it with the Hue app without any restrictions. However, you can only get the not really stylish plugs on the second-hand market, where prices of over 50 euros are regularly called up.
It is not a big surprise, because already in February I could provide you with the relevant information. Now, however, we can report a full train: The “T-connector for Low Volt” as well as the “Outdoor cable extension 2.5 m” can now also be ordered individually at a price of 11.49 euros each in the online store of Philips Hue.
The Philips Hue Outdoor Lightstrip is a rather flexible thing that can be placed around curves as you like. However, the supplied brackets are only suitable for mounting on a solid surface that can also be screwed into. If you want to lay the Outdoor Light Strip on the ground, you can now print the matching accessories yourself.
We still have to wait about a month until the Philips Hue Wall Switch Module finally hits the market. With the small accessory, you will be able to turn classic light switches into Hue light switches in order to be able to switch Philips Hue light bulbs supplied with permanent power.
When the new Philips Hue dimmer switch was introduced, you probably thought: What should I do with it? After all, the chances are very high that you have at least one dimmer switch in your home. Now the second generation is available – and a closer look at it is worthwhile for several reasons.
