A few weeks ago, Senic launched the first Friends of Hue Outdoor Switch on the market. At the start it was sold for 69 Euros, but now it is at the regular price of 79 Euros. But you can still save money – if you need indoor switches as well. Senic has been selling the normal Friends of Hue indoor switch in a bundle of 3 for 189 Euros for some time.
Last week I was able to present the new Friends of Hue Outdoor Switch from Senic for the first time. Even before the official delivery to the first customers, the Berlin manufacturer provided me with a test sample – and of course I take this opportunity to give you the first impressions.
A few days ago I was able to give you the first information, now it is official. Senic, a small Berlin start-up, is now also offering a Friends of Hue counter for outdoor use. It is the first of its kind. The “Friends of Hue Outdoor Switch” has the same technology as the already known Friends of Hue switches.
In recent years, the Berlin-based manufacturer Senic has already made a name for itself in the Hue world. Thanks to the cooperation with Gira, a truly outstanding Friends of Hue switch has been launched on the market. Now Senic seems to be about to launch a new product. As I have learned from my sources, Senic is working on a new product for outdoor use.
The Friends of Hue switches from Senic have been available for about a year now. In my opinion, the switches produced in cooperation with Gira are still the most exciting alternative – even if the technology inside is of course identical to other models. Why? In my opinion, Senic provides the best experience for the end user.
The makers at Senic regularly provide us with practical tutorial videos. We would like to take up the two newest videos. The focus is on the IFTTT service, with which you can create automations. The first video shows how you can make your Hue lamps blink, for example if there your Uber is waiting in front of your door.
A few weeks ago, Senic and Gira launched their Friends of Hue switch in one colour: pure white glossy, an alternative to the matt models available. This week, a variant in anthracite has been added. All four switches have one thing in common: they are not only supplied with a double rocker, but also with a single rocker – no other manufacturer offers this.
The Friends of Hue switches from various manufacturers have been available for about a year now, and for us in Germany, Busch-Jaeger and Gira are of particular interest. In cooperation with the Berlin start-up Senic, Gira launched a Friends of Hue switch on the market last September. Happily, it can be integrated into the Standard 55 system.
Something’s going on in the Hue world: last week alone numerous new products have been launched. By no means that is all that awaits us this year. But not only Signify is busy, other manufacturers are as well: Berlin-based start-up Senic has teamed up with Gira to create its own Friends of Hue switch.
