The new Philips Hue Lightguide series with the iconic light bulb design was supposed to be launched at the end of September. The first products were also shipped at that time – until increased problems with condensation inside the glass globes were discovered. After that, sales were stopped completely.
Now there is good news: At least one of the three Lightguide models is available again. In a press release, Philips Hue announces the following:
The Philips Hue Lightguide lamp in the Elipse variant will be released in the DACH region from calendar week 50 at a recommended retail price of 99.99 euros. The matching cord holder in black will be available at a recommended retail price of 49.99 euros. Exclusively in the Philips Hue Shop, the cord holder will also be available in white at the same price.
So far the lamp cannot be ordered in Germany, but in some European countries I checked this morning it looks different. In the UK and the Netherlands, the new Lightguide Ellipse can already be ordered.
There is no information yet on the availability of the other two versions: Triangular and Globe. And there is also no news yet on the market launch of the postponed Hue Go portable table lamp, which is only available in the US so far.

Can you let us know what the dimensions of the glass part of the bulb are for each of these new bulbs? The dimensions that are listed on the website are very hard to understand because I think they also include the base.
