In the course of numerous Philips Hue product introductions, some new spot lights have made it into the range. For the first time they are equipped with White and Color Ambiance lamps. Needless to say that the new generation of GU10 spots is used here – and offers numerous advantages over their predecessors.
The Philips Hue Fugato is available in four different configurations with one to four spots in black and white, with prices ranging from 89.99 euros to 269.99 euros. Certainly anything but cheap fun.
Philips Hue Fugato without dimmer switch or Smart Button
This makes it all the more incomprehensible, in my view, that Philips Hue no longer includes a dimmer switch in any of its sets. This was previously included in all ceiling lights, apart from a few special extensions.
Another thing brings me close to the verge of dispair. The installation of the Hue Fugato is likely to prove to be extremely tricky and I doubt that the product designers responsible have ever tried the procedure themselves. Due to the plastic housings into which the luster terminals are to be inserted, the fun is probably quickly lost during their assembly.
Fortunately, however, you only do this once. Once the Fugato is mounted on the ceiling, it makes a really stylish and valuable impression. This is due to a small plastic part: the spots are framed by a small diffuser which actually has visible optical effects.
You can buy the Fugato Spot lights with the integrated Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance GU10 spots online. For an even better impression I have also created a small video (in German language).
