In the meantime, Philips Hue does offer some options to take a classic light switch out of action. And I don’t just mean the Philips Hue wall switch module, but also the fact that the mounting plates of the new dimmer switch and also the Smart Button are large enough to be mounted on a flush-mounted box.
Since today you can order the new Philips Hue dimmer switch, with the availability in Germany it still looks bad. While users in France or Belgium were partly already delivered, I’m still waiting for my order. I tried it via the Proshop, here the new dimmer switches should be shipped from Wednesday.
At the beginning of the week I already told you that there will soon be a second generation of the Philips Hue dimming switch. As I could now find out, Signify has not only slightly changed the design of the switch, but also adapted the way it works. I’ll tell you exactly what that will look like in this article.
Today, I can share another glimpse of a new product with you: Philips Hue will update its popular and well-known dimmer switch in the near future. We have known it in its current form for some years now. The new version will look a lot more modern, but will offer the same functions.
I am always looking for new ideas from the Hue world. And that’s exactly how I came across a product about a fortnight ago that I didn’t quite understand at first – probably also due to the language barrier, because I discovered the product in Denmark. Unfortunately, due to its size, the switch does not quite fit into German switch series, it is much smaller.
