I introduced you to the Philips Hue Dymera earlier this month, and now the wall light for indoor and outdoor use that was announced back in January is finally available. You can order it from the official Philips Hue online shop for 219.99 euros.
A steep price, especially compared to similar wall lights such as the Hue Appear or Hue Resonate. However, there is one major difference: the multi-source light technology of the Philips Hue Dymera.
It combines two independently controllable light sources as one lamp in the Hue app. This means that the two lights of the Hue Dymera can be easily controlled together or individually. I have summarised exactly what this looks like in this article and in a short video for you.
The Hue Dymera also scores highly in terms of brightness with a standard white colour of 2,700 Kelvin. It achieves up to 970 lumens, which is significantly more than the alternatives mentioned above.
It is not without reason that I was able to summarise this in my short review:
Even though I didn’t permanently mount the Hue Dymera on the wall, I have to say that the extra cost compared to models from Philips Hue, such as the Appear or Resonate, is definitely justified. The two light beams can be controlled separately, the brightness in standard white is significantly higher and the overall design is much more solid.
