Hueblog: Innr launches new, larger outdoor spotlights

Innr launches new, larger outdoor spotlights

Now up to 680 lumens bright

Innr launched its first outdoor spotlights back in 2020, but at 230 lumens they were not particularly bright. The subsequent hardware revision with 290 lumens was also unable to keep up with the Hue Lily spots, which reach 640 lumens. And with the Hue Lily XL, Philips Hue even has a 1,050 lumen outdoor spotlight on sale, which at 159.99 euros is not exactly cheap either.

As a serious alternative to the normal Hue Lily spots, Innr is now offering the “Outdoor Smart Spot Colour Large”, which has a maximum brightness of 680 lumens. In terms of price, this is a very interesting option, as you can get the double pack for the list price of 149 euros (Innr-Website). That's exactly the same price as Philips Hue charges for its basic set with a Lily spotlight.

All Innr Outdoor Spots light up in one colour

However, there is one big difference: while you can control each spot individually with the Hue Lily, the outdoor spots from Innr have a small ZigBee box connected upstream. This means that all the spots connected to it light up in the same colour and with the same brightness. However, an additional spotlight only costs 49 euros.

There are no surprises when it comes to installation. With the base, the new outdoor spotlight from Innr can be easily attached with screws, for example directly to the wall. Alternatively, a ground spike is also included in the scope of delivery.

A maximum of five spots can be operated on a 48 watt power supply unit – but only identical models with the designation OSL 140 C.
