Philips Hue Secure cameras are now available for pre-order

Three different versions

After the Philips Hue Secure contact sensors were already launched in mid-September, you can now also order the smart surveillance cameras from Philips Hue. For the launch, there are three different variants of the Hue Secure camera – each in white and black. I would like to give you a brief overview of the different models and the optionally available accessories.

Currently, only the wired and desktop models can be pre-ordered – delivery will start on October 17. The wireless version is not yet available for pre-order.

The technical details of the different cameras are always identical. All models are suitable for use indoors or outdoors, although the power supply unit supplied is not suitable for outdoor use. All cameras offer 1080p resolution, 2-way audio and full encryption.

All Hue Secure products can be ordered from your local Philips Hue Online Store. There you will also find exact information about the price in your country.

Hue Secure Wired Camera for 199,99 Euro

The basic model of the Hue Secure Camera comes with a magnetic wall mount and power adapter and cable.

Hue Secure Wired Camera with desktop stand for 229,99 Euro

Alternatively, you can get the Hue Secure Camera with a small stand to place it on a shelf or cupboard, for example. If you change your mind later, that’s no problem: the wall mount is included.

Hue Secure Battery Camera for 249,99 Euro

If you want to use the Hue Secure camera in a place where there is no electricity, you can go for the battery version. With 15 to 20 video clips per day, the battery should last up to four months.

The accessories for the Hue Secure Camera at a glance

You can also buy the desktop stand separately, but then it is considerably more expensive at 49,99 Euro.

I find the low-voltage camera cable for 29,99 Euro particularly exciting, with which the Hue Secure Camera can be connected to existing lighting installations outdoors.

If you want to make sure that the magnetically attached camera doesn’t fall off the mount, the Hue Secure anti-drop cable is available for 14,99 Euro.

The camera mount with ground spike for 39,99 Euro really turns things up a notch. This way, the camera can also be placed in the middle of a flower bed.

  1. I wonder if Philips has heard the news that inflation in the world is skyrocketing and our money is worth less and less… there are better cameras at lower prices and Philips doesn’t seem so cutting edge in the security sector to me.
