This week, Philips Hue has once again launched a new product: the Hue Go Portable, a portable table lamp. Although the price of 159.99 euros is not exactly cheap, the new release seems to have sold well. It is now completely out of stock in the official Hue online shop. Orders can currently be placed at Click-Licht.de, for example.
Today I would like to take another look at the battery life. In my review, I already mentioned that the battery lasts up to 48 hours. The following graph gives us a more detailed overview.
The battery life of the Philips Hue Go Portable in detail
With bright light scenes like Read or Concentrate, five hours are reached. With the Relax scene, the Philips Hue Go Portable lasts an impressive nine hours. In comparison, it is interesting to look at the classic Philips Hue Go, which achieves exactly half the values. Presumably, the new Hue Go Portable simply has a battery with twice the capacity, because the maximum brightness of 530 lumens is identical.
As a small note and hint, the same applies to both variants: When used in battery mode, the brightness is reduced a little bit.
How the new Hue Go Portable compares to a classic rechargeable table lamp without smart functions and whether the extra charge is worth it, I would like to find out for you in the coming week.
