FabianYou have to hand it to Philips Hue: After they have made a mess of one or the other product launch in the past and the availability in the in-house online shop was often very poor, it worked out wonderfully with the Festavia string light despite the tight schedule.
On 11 November, which was a Friday, it was possible to order the string light in the Philips Hue online shop, and the first orders were already delivered on the following Monday. Now, about three weeks later, the first contingent seems to be sold out.
Philips Hue string light is sold out everywhere
At the moment it says everywhere: “Unfortunately, this product is out of stock”. Sold out, nothing works anymore. This refers to all countries where the Festavia has been sold so far. This was only possible exclusively in the Hue online shop.
Unfortunately, I can't tell you if and when the string light will be available again this year. I have already sent an enquiry to Philips Hue, but have not yet received an answer.
Are these good omens?
Of course it's annoying if you wanted to order the Festavia but can't do so anymore. But in general, it's not such a bad thing that the fairy lights are completely out of stock.
At least the amount of sales Philips Hue expected for the first batch was exceeded well before Christmas. This should not be the worst prerequisite for the Festavia not being a flash in the pan this year and for there perhaps being more Christmas products in 2023.

This might be because we use a different plug. Be aware if you plan to order it from Switzerland that, according to the picture, it uses the new outdoor IP55 T13 plug without PE, which might not be compatible with European outlets (it’s similar to a Europlug, but has a waterproof ring).
I haven’t tested if these fit in French/Schuko outlets yet.
Did you manage to order it outside of Swiss? I want to order to the UK, but I’m not sure if they can ship to the UK
@AF No, I’m within Switzerland. They probably don’t ship internationally as it is sent by normal national mail services.
Also, the swiss SKU contains a power adapter with a swiss-specific plug. So I think they’ll won’t shuffle the inventory around to sell them in other countries, they’ll just wait for these to be sold as they are. Not to mention they typically sell it for more in Switzerland, we pay the equivalent of 202 € instead of 160 € (£173 instead of £140), so they’d probably rather sell it here anyway.

it’s a pity, I really hoped they could ship Festavia to the UK ;( I don’t even mind using an adaptor to the UK plugin and the price difference. Hope will get it next year then
