Yesterday evening Alexa Live took place, Amazon’s developer event around the well-known language wizard. At the purely digital event, 31 new tools and functions were presented, among other things, with which developers can further improve their Alexa skills in the future.
In one of the presentations George Yianni, one of the inventors of Philips Hue and current CTO at Signify, also spoke. In just over 10 minutes, Yianni explained what the biggest challenges Philips Hue faced in developing the Alexa Skills were.
While cloud control didn’t have to work very fast in the early years of Philips Hue, because you couldn’t see the light when you controlled it on the go, this point changed tremendously with the launch of the first Echo devices.
