FabianAmazon announced the new Echo Hub last autumn. At first glance, this appears to be an Echo Show 8 without a speaker, as the Echo Hub is so flat that it can be mounted on the wall as a smart home control panel.
It is now available to order in Germany and other European countries at a price of 199.99 euros. And of course, the Echo Hub also works wonderfully with Philips Hue – at least as long as the connection between the two systems runs smoothly for you.

If you feel at home in the Alexa cosmos, perhaps even already use an Echo Show, and you really like the design of the Echo Hub, the Hub could be something for you. If you have a place where you can easily position the smart home control panel, then you are a suitable candidate for this new release.
Significantly improved interface compared to the Echo Show
Compared to the Echo Show, there is one detail in particular that I noticed positively: Amazon has actually optimised the interface of the Echo Hub very well for controlling smart home devices.
The focus is on large widgets that group all the devices in a room. For example, you can easily switch all or individual lamps in a room on and off.
The small icons at the bottom of the screen are also great and can be used to quickly access all device groups. For example, you can access an overview of all lamps or sockets. That's quite practical.
