Hueblog: Philips Hue equips smallest filament lamp with White Ambiance technology

Philips Hue equips smallest filament lamp with White Ambiance technology

Classic candle lamp with different white tones

Philips Hue has only been offering its small E14 candle lamp (in some regions with an E12 base) as a filament variant since last September. So far, the model has just been available with simple white technology, but that is likely to change soon.

Images and product information of a Philips Hue White Ambiance Filament candle lamp with an E12 base have now appeared. It can be assumed that this supposed new release will also appear with an E14 base for the European market.

Interesting: With 350 lumens, the White Ambiance Filament has a maximum brightness that is 50 lumens higher than the White Filament candle lamp, which only offers a fixed 2,100 Kelvin. According to the information available to me, the White Ambiance model will cover a white spectrum of 2,200 to 4,500 Kelvin.

The price of the new model is supposed to be 44.99 US dollars. In Germany, this would correspond to a list price of 54.99 euros, although I cannot confirm this for sure yet.
