Yesterday evening Philips Hue released another update of its official app, the update description reads more than sober: “Bug fixes and performance improvements”, it says in the App Store. But beyond that, there are some new things to discover.
There are some new scenes – and finally a flamingo in the Hue app. This can be found in the picture of the “Miami” scene in the Hue light scenes gallery. Also new in the party mood section are the scenes “Rio” and “Cancun”. Apart from that, I could not find any new scenes in direct comparison with Version 4.15.
So there are no real new functions – but something could happen here soon. In addition to the ongoing preparations for the integration of functions from the Sync app into the Hue app, the switches may soon offer even more features. For example, more than five scenes could soon be called up via one button. A function could also be integrated with which the light can also be switched off completely via the dimming function.

Wondering about “my account” option in the settings menu which ask for your Hue credentials… what is this for?
Hue app needs to be upgrade to allow for multiple bridges to be connected to the same account which control separate houses, whilst allowing out of home control.
Currently only can be done by having separate accounts which is annoying
