Hueblog: Philips Hue 4.7 will make all scenes dynamic

Philips Hue 4.7 will make all scenes dynamic

Speed remains unchanged for the time being

In the past few weeks, Philips Hue has not only launched numerous new hardware products, but has also made significant changes to the software. In addition to the new gradient function and Spotify integration, we were also pleased to see the introduction of dynamic scenes.

These dynamic scenes work very simply and are integrated directly into the room view. After selecting a scene, you only have to press the play button to start the animation. I have already shown you this in a short video:

So far, the dynamic scenes only work with the included scenes from the Hue light scenes gallery. But as already announced, Philips Hue is working on an improvement right here. As I have learned, the functionality will be expanded with the upcoming update to version 4.7 of the Hue app.

With the update, you will not only be able to use prefabricated scenes as dynamic scenes, but also image-based scenes and self-created scenes. Here, too, the animation is started after activating the scene via the play button.

Initially, the dynamic scenes will still run very slowly. An adjustment of the speed is not yet planned with the update to version 4.7.
