MelHave you already equipped your Bridge with the firmware version 19370450000? Then it is worth taking another look at the update section of the Hue app. There is also new software for many White Ambiance and White and Color Ambiance fixtures – Signify points this out in the release notes on the US website.
The new software versions 1.50.2_r30933 and 5.130.1.30000 are available for all complete luminaires without Bluetooth functionality, i.e. no individual bulbs. Concretely, the manufacturer lists the following products: Amaze, Adore, Apogee, Aurelle, Being, Calla, Cher, Ensis, Fair, Flourish, Liane, Lily, Muscari, Play, Sana, Semeru, Signe, Still, Struana and Within.
Besides safety improvements, there is also a really exciting new feature: “Deep Dimming”. The lamps can be dimmed much stronger. A Hue user writes on Reddit: “I noticed this last night on my Being. It was dimmed to the lowest level and I could hardly see anything. They can be much more dimmed than before, I like that very much.”
