MelThe Philips Hue Play Lightbar is one of the most successful new Hue products of the year, even though the integration of Hue Sync has not yet progressed so far that the small Ambilight replacement lamps could be used. Nonetheless, they are definitely a great mood light.
What’s especially great is that the Philips Hue Play Lightbar can be set up or attached in a variety of ways, because Signify comes with some accessories. Still, Hueblog reader Martin was not satisfied: “I didn't want to drill into the TV or stick the mounting plate of the Lightbar to the TV with the included adhesive pad”, he writes in a mail.
The solution is simple but ingenious: “The solution was obvious, as my Panasonic TV has a metal back panel. I still had a few magnets, so I went down to the basement and quickly screwed the magnets to the mount. Now the Hue Play Lightbars fit perfectly on the back of my TV and can be removed at any time without any damage”.
