Yesterday evening, Philips Hue released another update for its app, version 4.42 is now available for download. There don’t seem to be any obvious innovations, because the update description only says: “Various bug fixes and stability improvements.”
However, it is possible that more has been done in the background. When I started the app for the first time after the update, it didn’t immediately want to connect to two of my three bridges and instead installed the first firmware update.
Maybe we’ll be smarter in a few days. It has happened in the past that new functions are rolled out slowly a few days after the actual update. In any case, I’ll stay on the ball.

innovations??? It’s getting worst and worse all the time!! It used to be a great way of bringing light into your homes, but now it’s a real pain in the ass app! Too many people in Europe sitting in over expensive offices costing too much overhead and too few chinese children’s hands who can compensate with their cheap labour. Suffering an acute PHILIPS APPNEU stroke as well??
