After the update to version 4.40, it wasn’t worth writing a separate article because the new features weren’t visible at all. Only with the update to version 4.41 does Philips Hue show the latest products from the in-house portfolio in the Discover section of the Hue app. A change in the Hue app that can hardly be surpassed in terms of excitement.
With the update to version 4.41, there is then a little more to discover, at least on iPhone and iPad. “The app now supports Siri shortcuts for the Hue sync box! Available for iOS version 16.4 and up.”
But even this innovation is not as exciting as it first looks. After all, the function is not new at all. It was already available via the separate Sync app. The move of all functions to the Hue app should now be completed, which means that the Sync app should disappear from the App Store in the near future. Something similar has already happened with the Bluetooth app.

The hue app gets worse and slower with every update. I really enjoyed the system when I first got it a few years ago, now I think it is a waste of money.
