AI Alarm Clock: Xiaomi’s alarm clock also works with Philips Hue

The website homekitnews.com has shared information about the new Xiaomi AI Alarm Clock. Visually, it is indistinguishable from the current China model, but there are a few exciting features that are not yet further specified.

The alarm clock will not only work with Alexa but also support Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio and Philips Hue. I can't imagine a ZigBee module is integrated here, instead I rather assume a “Works with Hue” product. Unfortunately, it is not yet revealed how the connection is made. I could imagine a situation as follows: When the alarm clock rings at 6 a.m. Hue lights will automatically simulate a sunrise.

The Xiaomi gadget acts as an alarm clock and allows multiple timers, has a snooze function on board as well as multiple alarm tones. The brightness on the display can be adjusted and is controlled via Xiaomi’s own Mi Home app.

According to homekitnews, the Xiaomi alarm clock will cost $30 and be released soon. There are no further details yet.
