Festavia string light not to be available again until late 2023

Bad news before Christmas

If you were flirting with buying the new Philips Hue Festavia before Christmas, there’s bad news for you: Nothing left. Apart from one small country surrounded by big mountains, the string lights are currently out of stock. In Switzerland, there is still a remaining contingent available.

According to my information, it is almost impossible that there will be a possibility to order the Festavia light chain via the Philips Hue Shop before Christmas. Other retailers have not been allowed to participate so far anyway.

Festavia will not be available again until the 2023 Christmas season

In the meantime, Philips Hue itself has also spoken out and shared the following message on Twitter: “We’re not expecting new stock anymore this year. New stock will most likely arrive at the end of 2023.”

Those who wanted to decorate their Christmas tree with a smart light chain this year no longer have a chance with Philips Hue. There are no alternatives with ZigBee technology. Lidl had a string light in its portfolio in 2020, but it is no longer available and only worked to a limited extent with Philips Hue anyway.

If you have to use another app anyway, the Twinkly fairy lights are the best choice at the moment. Here you currently pay around 110 euros for a comparable model.

Over the last few years, I've become a real expert when it comes to Hue & HomeKit. I now have over 50 lamps and numerous switches in use. I'm happy to share my experiences with you in my little blog.
