I’ve received a few more emails from you over the past few days. There’s yet another new software update for the Philips Hue hub. Since March 12, version 2071258020 has been rolling out for the Hue Bridge Pro and version 1976081000 for the “old” Hue Bridge.
Unfortunately, I can’t tell you exactly what’s changed in the new version. “We’ve made several small changes behind the scenes to make your Hue Bridge work even better”, says the manufacturer.
Currently, we’re still waiting for a bug fix for the Apple Home issue; I’m still waiting for feedback from Philips Hue on this. At this point, I’d almost say that manually reconfiguring the Apple Home connection is the quickest solution. After all, once you’ve added the Hue Bridge back to Apple Home, it’s relatively easy to sort the lights into the existing rooms.

What about that backup function, any news?
Our Gira E2, Senic Friends of Hue seems to work better with the Hue Bridge Pro. 👍🏻
The home issue is probably die to apple. They ate having trouble with siri. For the home hubs in apple tv and so apple is preparing new software and hardware. If apple is holding back its for a substantial reason.
Y un día me ha durado mi aplicación de iOS porque ya no detecta ningún puente. Años de trabajo tirado a la basura. O por Spotify o por Hue, no poniendo SDKs estables.
There is any way to downgrade the firmware? I can’t use my old sdk for manage the entertainment feature. It doesn’t found any bridge using HueSDK4EDK and imposible configure it manually. Definitely is dead this project with the new changes.
Any chance to pressure Signify to revert 2 features, which was removed on the new Hue Bridge PRO in comparison to old hub:
– support for older HomeKit protocol / integration??? New Matter integration don’t works on zigbee groups (there is delay between lights when you turn on or change bigger room/zone).. there are also some dis-color problems..
– support for HTTP (without encryption) protocol, supported by many apps / integrations…
