No major changes

It’s time for updates in the Hue world again. Several updates are currently pending, as Philips Hue is releasing a new software version for the Hue Bridge and Hue Bridge Pro, among other things. The official Philips Hue app has also received another update. However, there don’t seem to be many new features in any of the three cases.

“We’ve made several small changes behind the scenes to make your Hue Bridge Pro work even better”, they say about the gateway. Software version 2071223010 has been rolling out for the Hue Bridge Pro since February 16, and software version 1975170000 for the Hue Bridge.

The new update has not yet arrived on my installations. I secretly hope that this will solve the connection problems with Matter and Apple Home. If you have received the update, please feel free to leave some feedback in the comments.

Philips Hue app now in version 5.61.0

A new version is also available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Here’s what Philips Hue writes in the update notes:

You can now find your Automations in the Rooms and Zones they control. Adjust your wake-up times in the bedroom, start a timer in the kitchen while cooking, or create brand new Automations – all directly from the Rooms and Zones screens. This also applies to your accessories! To personalize even further you can edit and arrange the sections to your liking.

As well-informed Hueblog readers know, this isn’t really a new feature. It was already enabled with the last update, and you can find a detailed explanation in this article.

I couldn’t find any other new features in the Hue app right away. But we’ve already learned that Philips Hue doesn’t always mention everything directly. So I’ll keep my eyes open for you.
