This week, you were particularly impressed by the Philips Hue OmniGlow Lightstrip. In addition to my brief impression of my installation of the premium light strip, there was more to discover, such as the first update for the Philips Hue app in several weeks. It went straight from version 5.57 to version 5.59.

However, the update didn’t seem particularly exciting, as the description simply stated: “Various bug fixes and stability improvements.” And even after taking a closer look, I couldn’t discover any new features.

Then, however, a reader comment caught my eye: “Today, for the first time since switching to the new Hue Bridge, I don’t have an app freeze when I open the Hue app.” I took a closer look and actually found that the Hue app now opens faster again. Previously, there were frequent delays of several seconds before control was possible.

Feel free to write in the comments if you notice any differences in performance after updating to version 5.59 of the Hue app. I’m curious to hear about your experiences.
