FabianWhen it came to configuring switches and sensors, iConnectHue has always been my go-to choice in recent years. However, I must also say that the official Hue app is catching up more and more. Most recently, Philips Hue has made switch assignments a bit more flexible, and soon, Custom AI Behaviors will also allow for extensive configurations.
I actually haven’t opened iConnectHue in quite a while, but I don’t want to leave out the latest update. With version 5.18.0 of the 4.99-euro universal app for iPhone and iPad, developer Stefan Göhler once again delivers numerous new features.
iConnectHue now offers support for the Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 4K as well as Hue Play Screen Sync. The presets that can be saved in iConnectHue are particularly exciting in this regard. This makes it easy to activate various settings with the push of a button. “You can now also turn the backlight mode on and off to maintain a minimum brightness on your TV during dark scenes. You’ll find the option in the settings for each device,” writes the developer about the feature, which is only available with a Pro membership.
iConnectHue Is Ready for Halloween
There’s still a little over a month to go until the spooky holiday. If you want to start preparing for Halloween soon, you can already check out iConnectHue. The spooky Halloween animations are back. With “Ghostly” and “Thriller,” two new animations have been added, so you can now choose from twelve different Halloween templates.
In addition, iConnectHue includes numerous bug fixes and improvements, so the app now runs much more smoothly on the Apple Watch, for example.
