Unlike the Hue Flourish ceiling light or pendant light, the latter of which still hangs above my dining table, the Hue Flourish table lamp is not equipped with permanently installed LED technology. Inside, it uses a standard White and Colour Ambiance E27 bulb, which previously had a maximum of 806 lumens. Now Philips Hue is giving the stylish table lamp a small technical upgrade.
In future, the table lamp will be equipped with a coloured Hue bulb with up to 1,100 lumens, providing a good 36 per cent more brightness. The price remains unchanged at £149.99. Meanwhile, nothing has changed in terms of the lampshade. The Hue Flourish table lamp remains 26.1 centimetres wide and 17.5 centimetres high.
The whole thing is packaged in a new box, naturally featuring the new Hue logo and the Matter symbol. After all, thanks to the new light source, the table lamp can also be connected directly to a Matter system, without having to go through a Hue Bridge.
New Hue Flourish table lamp already listed on Amazon
The new model is currently listed on Amazon Germany, but an exact delivery date has not yet been specified. The new generation of Hue Flourish table lamps is not yet available in the official Philips Hue online shop, but the old generation is sold out in many countries.
I will definitely take a look at the new generation, although we won’t see any big surprises here, of course. And when it comes to the price, I have to say that if you buy this little gem for £149.99, the design really has to blow you away. Ultimately, this version of the Hue Flourish is not much more than a normal table lamp equipped with a smart light bulb.
