Before I test the camera in my home, I would like to tell you about my first impressions of the unboxing and installation. After the Philips Hue Secure contact sensors were already launched in mid-September, you can now also order the smart surveillance cameras from Philips Hue. For the launch, there are three different variants of the Hue Secure camera – each in white and black. I have another surprising piece of information for you, at least I would not have expected it today. In some countries the new Philips Hue Secure Contact Sensor is already listed in the Hue online shop and can be ordered there. Unfortunately, I don’t have complete information on which countries the sensor is available in.
While we seem to have to wait a little longer for the new cameras and contact sensors, there is good news for those of us who want to finally make their 12-volt lighting system smart. Announced earlier this month, Philips Hue MR16 bulbs with GU5.3 bases are finally available to order.
As part of its product announcement on September 1st, Philips Hue promised to start selling spare parts directly through its online shop in October. Today I can share with you a list of all the spare parts available at launch, including prices.
