Just the day before yesterday, I was able to announce that the Custom AI Behaviors—announced in early September—would launch with a slight delay. Instead of early October, they are now scheduled to launch next week. The corresponding firmware update for the Hue Bridge Pro is already being rolled out.
Philips Hue is now making software version 6.3.2071556020 available for download. “We’ve prepared the Bridge Pro to support Custom AI Behaviors, which allows you to create richer and more advanced behaviors for your Hue system. This will be enabled in the app in the coming days, so stay tuned,” according to the update description.
The easiest way to get the new software onto your Hue Bridge Pro is to enable automatic updates in the Hue app’s settings. As always, the update is being rolled out gradually, so it may take a few days for your control hub to update. In addition to the adjustments for Custom AI Behaviors, the update also includes some minor improvements and bug fixes.
Feature Available Only on the Hue Bridge Pro
There’s also a software update for the “old” Hue Bridge (non-Pro), with version 6.3.1978545030 now available. However, it includes only minor bug fixes and does not include the new Custom AI Behaviors—those are exclusive to the Pro model.
