At first, I didn’t really notice it, but some readers were much more observant earlier this week. The Hue Play Floor Lamp I discovered looks strikingly similar to the WiZ Gradient Floor Lamp (header image), which has been available since last year. While the upcoming model from Philips Hue will likely cost €149.99, the regular price for the floor lamp from sister brand WiZ is just €89.99.

Things are picking up again at Philips Hue this week. Before the Bright Days kick off in two days—hopefully with some great deals—there’s another updated product. As announced a few weeks ago, the Hue Lucca outdoor lights have been equipped with a new bulb. In Europe, the Hue Lucca—available as a wall light, floor lamp, and path light—was previously only available with a standard Hue White bulb, whereas in North America it came with a colored bulb.
