There is once again interesting news from Signify, the manufacturer of Philips Hue. The WiZ brand, which was taken over a few years ago, will probably soon be expanded to include a string of lights for outdoor use. No question: this is something I would definitely also like to see from Philips Hue directly.

With the light chain from Müller-Licht Tint (see cover picture), I have already presented a comparable product that is compatible with Hue. The WiZ LED String Lights, on the other hand, which have not yet been officially presented, are connected to the Smart Home via WLAN and controlled via the WiZ app or WiZ accessories.

The entire string of lights is 14.8 metres long and has 12 “bulbs” that can all be controlled individually. In addition to different shades of white, the LEDs can also display 16 million colours. With a power consumption of 12 watts, 120 lumens are possible, i.e. a maximum of 10 lumens per LED.

I have no doubt: such a product from Philips Hue, equipped with Gradient technology, would be a real highlight and definitely a big seller. And who knows: maybe the WiZ LED String Lights are just the beginning for Signify?
