It’s probably an open secret that Philips Hue will also be presenting new products around IFA in Berlin this year. One of them will be a Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip for PC monitors with a size of 24 to 27 inches.
A corresponding product listing including official product photos appeared today in the American online shop Best Buy. In the meantime, the shop page is no longer accessible, but I was able to save the pictures for you.
This is what the Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip for PC monitors looks like
It is no big surprise that Philips Hue is working on a “short” Play Gradient Lightstrip. Already a few weeks ago I could find corresponding hints in the Hue app.
Just like the large model for the TV, the PC version will illuminate the screen areas on the left, top and right with colour gradients. What is still open: Will there also be a PC light strip for larger screens? Many gamers are likely to use screens larger than 30 inches. We should know more by the beginning of September at the latest.
