It is now almost exactly ten years since Philips Hue was launched. What started with simple E27 light bulbs has now really grown up. Year after year, the Philips Hue product portfolio has grown, and now you can easily equip your whole house and garden with Philips Hue. But is that the end of the line?
I like Philips Hue. No wonder, after all, I have not only equipped almost my entire house with smart light sources from the manufacturer, but I also have a blog dedicated to the topic. In principle, not a day goes by without me dealing with Philips Hue. And these are not only positive stories, but meanwhile also more and more problems.
This afternoon, Philips Hue released another update for its app: Version 4.26.0 is available for download not only for Apple devices, but this time also directly in the Google Play Store. The focus of the update is the presence simulation previously known from Hue Labs, which has now been firmly integrated into the app as “Mimic Presence” automation.

The new Philips Hue Lightguide lamps were officially announced for the fourth quarter of the year, i.e. between October and December. Philips Hue has released another update for its app this afternoon – and it includes an interesting innovation for the dynamic scenes. Among other things, this affects their use in conjunction with a switch or automation. The setting can be activated for each individual scene. To do this, simply select a scene that has already been saved in a room or zone and click on the Edit button.

And what can I say? No Philips Hue light bulbs have ever been so beautiful. At the start, there will be three different versions, and two more models will probably follow later.

Yesterday afternoon Philips Hue released another update of its app. Three new features are included in the update, one of which I was able to announce a few weeks ago: You can now share scenes with friends. However, Apple users in particular have to pay attention to one detail. To share a scene, first activate it and then tap on the three small dots next to the scene icon.
About a month ago I was able to tell you that Samsung was working on Hue Sync support for its TVs. Unfortunately, I now have some bad news for you, as Samsung's connection with Philips Hue turns out to be less extensive than initially thought. In a statement to SamMobile, Samsung revealed: “In the coming months, we hope to announce more details of an expanded partnership between Samsung SmartThings and Philips Hue that will provide enhanced music experiences.”
