As it does almost every two weeks, Philips Hue updated its app this Tuesday again. Version 5.38 is now available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. I’ll tell you what’s new in this article.
In the update description, Philips Hue first mentions a function that I already presented to you on Saturday: Adding new devices via QR code scan. “Simply scan the QR codes to add multiple devices to a room in one go, and let the app guide you through the setup process. Whether it’s Hue bridges, lights, switches, sensors, smart plugs, cameras, or sync boxes”, says Philips Hue.
At the same time, the settings in the Hue app have been made a little clearer. All devices are now listed together under one menu item. This is also where you can add new devices using the plus symbol.
Another new feature concerns the 24-hour scenes. The corresponding scenes are now saved in a folder in the respective room. This keeps the whole story a little less cluttered and you can still easily access individual scenes.

And how about moving Hue products from one bridge to another?
This. ^^
Adding a device is a little bit more complicated now when adding an accesoiry
Added a Friends of Hue and had to change the room/zone afterwards again
In order to add a missing smartplig I had to unlink my Philips Hue account t from my Google Home and now it can not be r
Linked anymore . Most likely a bug on the Philips Hue side, because I performed the same action in two different and completly separate accounts and the same issue occurred on both!
