With the new Philips Hue Amarant, Signify’s popular and practical low-voltage system received a great new addition in January and there are probably one or two users who are currently planning their 2021 garden. I can’t confirm this completely at the moment, but I have received initial indications that the 2.5-metre outdoor cable and the T-part could soon be sold separately.
Some time ago, my colleague Frederick already told you a few details about the Philips Hue Ensis. At that time, he introduced you to the white version, but in the meantime, the pendant light is also available in black. Reason enough to take another closer look. But where to put the almost 130-centimetre-long lamp, which can shine in different colours at the top and bottom and thus achieve a brightness of up to 6,000 lumens?

Already yesterday I wrote about the Violet SmartSwitch on our German Apple blog. But I think the smart light switch with color display and touchscreen is so interesting that I would like to write a few lines about it here as well. Just as a little preview, before I will look at the accessories myself in the next few weeks.
I have already reported several times about the Sunricher module, which is equipped with a battery and can be used in the Hue app just like a normal Friends of Hue switch. Since no kinetic energy has to be generated, the switch is much quieter when pressed. However, the frame and rocker, which Sunricher supplies as standard, are not really of good quality.
It should be another two months or so before Philips Hue finally launches its new wall switch module. Formerly developed by Insta as a Friends of Hue accessory, the product will be able to turn a traditional light switch into a smart light switch.
