At the weekend, I wanted to find out for you how much electricity the new Philips Hue Festavia string light consumes. The result really surprised me, especially with regard to other Hue light sources. But first things first. With Philips Hue lights, it has always been the case that colours have consumed significantly less energy than, for example, bright and cool white tones.
Today I would like to deal with a small problem that I had not yet thought of. However, there are always letters on the subject, so a little advice can’t hurt. The problem is that newly created scenes do not appear in the switch configuration. Philips Hue has actually built in a little trap here.
Since the announcement of the new Philips Hue string light Festavia on Thursday, more and more details have come to light. Among other things, I have already compared the new release with the well-known Twinkly string light. One point that bothered me a lot: Philips Hue Festavia (Online-Shop) is only suitable for indoor use.

And the manufacturer from Eindhoven assures that they are ready for the Christmas season: from Friday, 11 November 2022, the Philips Hue Festavia should be available for order in the official online shop. Delivery should then take place the following week.

Yesterday evening, Philips Hue released another update for its app. Version 4.29 is now available in the App Store. Attentive readers will notice that version 4.28 has been omitted. According to my information, there were major problems with this version, so it was not even considered for release. In the end, however, it doesn’t make any difference, because this version probably wouldn’t have offered any major innovations anyway – and now we’ll continue with the next update.
