Approval documents have already suggested it earlier this year, now we can deliver the first pictures. The French manufacturer WiZ, which was taken over by Signify a few years ago, will probably soon bring a surveillance camera onto the market.
The first product photo shows the packaging of the “Home Monitoring Starter Kit”. Included are three smart light bulbs from WiZ, which couple with the smart home via WLAN and are therefore not directly compatible with Philips Hue, as well as a smart camera. Whether this is only suitable for indoor use or also for outdoor use is not initially apparent.
However, the box reveals a few other details. The WiZ surveillance camera will have Full HD resolution and IR night vision. Another interesting fact is that you get a one-year “Heads-Up” subscription for free with your purchase. I already suspected last week that Philips Hue could go in a similar direction and that certain functions could become chargeable.
There is no further information about the WiZ Indoor Camera yet. However, I do have some more product photos of new WiZ products that I don’t want to withhold from you. After all, WiZ’s new products are also compatible with the new smart home standard Matter.
