Our survey on Hueblog.de has shown once again: The Philips Hue dimmer switch remains your favorite. No wonder, after all it has been available for several years with a price of less than 25 bucks it is quite cheap and can also be used in many ways. At least it comes with a holder from which you can easily remove the dimmer switch.
Just a few days ago I had to listen to the idea that you don’t necessarily have to light up your garden in bright and colourful colors. You don’t have to. But you can. Today I would like to take a look at Höfats Spin, a high-quality manufactured and unfortunately not quite cheap table fire.
I have been active in the garden again and created a small bed which I would like to illuminate with an Outdoor LightStrip. This led me to a problem which I was able to solve with a hint from Hueblog reader Alexander: a self-built power supply for the 24 Volt system.

Today, I’d like to answer a question you’ve probably already thought about: how bright are the different Philips Hue lamps? After all, there’s a huge range, from 120 lumens for the Philips Hue Bloom table lamp to 6,000 lumens for the Philips Hue Ensis pendant lamp.
I am always amazed at the creative ideas the community comes up with. At the weekend, Hueblog reader Klaus from Munich impressed me with a really clean installation, which focuses on the Philips Hue Outdoor LightStrip and a trash can box.
Unfortunately, the ultimate light switch for Philips Hue is still not available, even though we have already moved in a very good direction with the Friends of Hue products. As I have learned, Philips Hue is also interested in smart wired light switches.
I am still a little surprised when I think back to your feedback and interest in the Twinkly lights. During the Christmas season, the smart tree decoration was an absolute hit – and will probably continue to delight all buyers in the following Christmas seasons. But the Italian manufacturer also offers products for the warmer seasons: the Twinkly Festoon Lights.
