Have you already equipped your Bridge with the firmware version 19370450000? Then it is worth taking another look at the update section of the Hue app. There is also new software for many White Ambiance and White and Color Ambiance fixtures – Signify points this out in the release notes on the US website.

Smart filament lamps are now available from numerous manufacturers. My current favourites are the White Ambiance filament lamps from Müller-Licht which will probably make it into the shops this month. Their release date is scheduled for March 24th.
Just a small side note from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Yesterday, a little update was released for the official Philips Hue App, which brought back a small feature. This might be relevant for some users though.

When Philips Hue launched its filament lamps last autumn, I was very impressed. Later, I realized that the fixed colour temperature of 2,100 Kelvin is not optimal for all purposes. In our open living, dining and cooking area, the warm white light above the dining table simply didn’t match the cooler light in the kitchen.
The Philips Hue Play Lightbar has become a real bestseller since its launch about a year and a half ago. Müller-Licht seems to be about to launch a very similar product with its ZigBee brand Tint. The Talpa LED luminaire can already be pre-ordered at Amazon for 79.95 euros.
In the past few weeks I have been asked one question in particular. Therefore, I would like to use a rather quiet Saturday to explain this question: why is a new Philips Hue lamp not found in the app but the included dimmer switch works fine? Even the search by serial number does not bring success, the new lamp cannot be paired with the Hue Bridge.
