About four weeks after the big update with support for Dolby Vision, voice assistants and infrared remote controls, Signify is pushing another small update for the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box via the Hue Sync App. You can now download version 1.11.0 of the app from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Already announced some time ago, I have now finally been able to try them out myself: The new fourth generation Philips Hue Bloom. After LivingColors and Friends of Hue, the mood light has now really arrived in the Hue world and offers Bluetooth connectivity in addition to the familiar ZigBee connection via the Hue Bridge.
A while ago I already introduced the Plug & Shine system from Paulmann to you. Up to now you could only integrate it into the Hue ecosystem with a ZigBee controller, in practice this meant: All outdoor lights connected behind the controller were displayed as one lamp in the Hue app.
Yesterday evening Apple gave us a preview of their new operating systems for iPhone, iPad and Co. Also included were some new features for HomeKit, which is not entirely uninteresting for us Hue users. After all, Philips Hue was one of the first manufacturers to offer HomeKit support a few years ago with the launch of the second-generation Hue Bridge.

It has been some time since I have equipped my living room with a new ceiling light from Lampenwelt.de. Actually I wanted to present the model Gordana to you months ago, but then it was not available for a long time due to the corona situation. Usually, I’m rather reserved about statements coming from customer support. Still, the story Hueblog reader Jakob told me a few weeks ago is highly interesting. So let’s take a look back and also forward.
