If you read this diligently, you could find out about most of the new products in advance. Now the new and updated products are official and can be purchased immediately. Finally. A new version of the Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus, the most popular product in the Hue range, is now available.
Usually, I’m rather reserved about statements coming from customer support. Still, the story Hueblog reader Jakob told me a few weeks ago is highly interesting. So let’s take a look back and also forward.

We’ve been waiting for a really long time, but now it’s finally arrived: In a press release, Signify has announced that the promised major update for the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box is now available. It includes a lot of new features that I will definitely take a closer look at over the next few days.
It was announced earlier this year that Philips Hue is working on a new LightStrip Plus. Not surprisingly, since the absolute bestseller from the Hue portfolio is one of the few products that has not received a Bluetooth update.
Only this morning, we reported about the Friends of Hue switches, this time focussing on the model of Senic and Gira. But no matter which manufacturer is involved, all switches have one thing in common so far: they work without batteries and generate the required energy with a relatively loud click.
