Show your Hue: My LightStrip in the raised bed

Still missing the plants

I think I've had a Philips Hue Outdoor LightStrip in the garage for almost a year because I just didn't know what to do with it. It was only when I built a small raised bed lengthwise through my garden that the light strip found its place.

Surely this is not the most exciting Outdoor LightStrip installation you have ever seen – after all there have been readers who have even installed the waterproof light strip in the shower. Nevertheless I think the idea is pretty smart.

By the way, I built the bed with WoodBlocx, which is quite a nice thing. It's a building block principle, which in principle allows all kinds of shapes. Certainly not the cheapest solution, but I really liked the custom-made raised bed with its 15 year guarantee on wood quality.

First of all, I fixed the LightStrip with the supplied retaining clips, which can be easily fixed in the wood – directly under the cover. I simply led the cable through the open bottom of the bed to the outside.

So far only a few strawberries are planned, the remaining vegetables are still being grown. The Outdoor LightStrip directly at ground level should be able to show off the resulting splendour in a few weeks.
