The new Hue Flux Lightstrip has been available since mid-September and performed very well in my initial hands-on. The ultra-bright version of the Hue Flux Lightstrip is set to launch shortly. It has a maximum brightness of 6,000 lumens. It can produce almost 1,000 lumens per meter. No Philips Hue light strip has ever been this bright.
Philips Hue will also offer five accessory products for the entire Flux series. Even though the Hue Flux Lightstrip got an early start and has been available for some time, the accessories are not yet available. Unfortunately, there is no specific launch date yet. Nevertheless, I would like to give you an initial overview.
Hue Flux Gradient Lightstrip brackets
For €11.99, you get ten transparent brackets for screwing in place. This should be particularly useful if the light strip is to be mounted where the adhesive does not stick well.
Hue Flux Gradient Lightstrip Corner Connector
The Flux Lightstrip can be cut at every 16.6 centimeters at a marked point. The corner connector can then be used to create 90-degree corners. For €19.99, you get four 90-degree angles.
Hue Flux Gradient Lightstrip Flex Connector
If you want to bridge gaps, you can do so with the 50-centimeter-long flex connector. This could be useful for attaching a light strip under several shelves. Four connectors will be available for €29.99.
Hue Flux Gradient Lightstrip Connector
To connect cut pieces and create Flux light strips up to 20 meters long, there will be four simple connectors available for €14.99. However, no “loose” light strip extensions will be sold. If you want to extend your Flux Lightstrip later, you will have to buy another complete light strip.
Hue Flux Gradient Lightstrip extension cable
To extend the distance between the power supply and the controller, a 5-meter extension cable will be available. It appears to be identical to the Hue Play extension cable, but in white instead of black.
Until now, you had to resort to third-party products for light strip accessories, which were anything but cheap. Now Philips Hue is getting involved and making the Flux even more flexible. As soon as the accessories are available, you’ll find out about it on the Hueblog.

Hi Fabian, would you have any info, if the extension cable would be compatible with the upcoming OmniGlow lightstrip as well? Planning to get those at some point, but would need a fairly long cable with them…
Yes.
Fabian, Is there an other solution for cornering and extending the Hue Flux lightstrips? I want to use the Flux lighstrip for lightning the ceiling and don’t want to bend the strip.
Regards,
Frank
Hey! Lets say I cut a 5m strip and I have spare 1.5m piece, how can I use it on another wall?
Is there any indication whether existing 3rd-party extensions are compatible? If not, any word on whether 3rd party vendors will release their own connectors that are compatible?
Indeed are there alternatives? I’ve got the strips but can’t use them because there are no connectors ie.
Not very smart from Philips.
When will it be available? Will it be at least this year?… And why would you release a strip without connectors at all?.. This doesn’t look like a thought-through decision, tbh. Your marketing department is a mess, from the looks of it…
When available in Belgium?
December or early 2026.
Love the accessoires not the availability 🙂
And indeed like many others asked are there alternatives for the connectors and brackets? Would love to extend my 5 meter cable with some 60cm extension I have
How can Philips sell Flux as ‘expendable’ while connectors aren’t sold yet. I’ve got 9 meters of Flux strips which I can’t use now, smh.
