The Philips Hue Lucca series is also getting colorful

The next small product upgrade

Philips Hue is expected to update some of its existing products in February. The Philips Hue Flourish table lamp will be equipped with a brighter and matte-compatible light source. The same applies to the Hue Turaco series, consisting of wall lamps, pedestal lamps, and path lamps. The upgrade here is particularly extensive, as only a Hue White bulb has been used up to now. Nevertheless, prices are expected to remain unchanged.

An upgrade is also in the pipeline for the Hue Lucca series. Specifically, this concerns the Philips Hue Lucca path light, pedestal light, and wall light. All of them will be equipped with the current Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance E27 bulb with 1,100 lumens. Here, too, prices should remain largely unchanged.

Ultimately, both Lucca and Turaco are “simple” outdoor products equipped with a standard E27 socket. The Hue bulb is then inserted and the whole thing is packaged in a Hue box.

The Hue Lucca White wall light has previously cost €99.99

Of course, this is not exactly cheap; the Hue Lucca White has previously cost €99.99. With a latest-generation colored bulb, which is quite expensive on its own, this price is of course put into perspective a little. In principle, however, you can use any wall light or pedestal light from the hardware store, provided it fits an E27 bulb from Philips Hue, and build your own smart outdoor light. This is often the cheaper option, especially if you already have the Hue bulb.

It is not yet clear when the new Lucca and Turaco lights and the improved Hue Flourish table lamp will be available on the market. I will keep you up to date in any case.
