There is hardly any other topic on which I have received the same questions over and over again in recent weeks: When will the accessories for connecting the Hue Flux light strips be available? Until now, I have had to keep putting you off, and it was actually supposed to be ready by the end of last year. But now, things finally seem to be moving forward.
The new accessories and extensions are already listed on Obi.de, the online shop of a German DIY store. The product pages are completely finished and filled with all the technical data and product images. More importantly, however, they already seem to be available in a few shops.
Specifically, you can expect the following accessories:
- Hue Flux Connector: 4 pieces for €14.99
- Hue Flux Corner Connector (90°): 4 pieces for €19.99
- Hue Flux Flex Connector (50 cm): 4 pieces for €29.99
- Hue Flux mounting clips: 10 pieces for €11.99
- Hue Flux extension cable: 5 metres for €14.99
I have already presented the three connectors in a detailed video, which you are welcome to watch again:
Hue Flux can be extended up to 20 metres
Hue Flux and Hue Flux Ultrabright are available in various lengths of up to 10 metres. Both have the same LED strip and can be extended up to 20 metres. Three different extensions will also be available soon. All come with an I-connector.
- Hue Flux extension: 2 metres for €39.99
- Hue Flux extension: 5 metres for €89.99
- Hue Flux extension: 10 metres for €189.99
In principle, it is also possible to connect cut pieces. So if you can get your hands on a complete Hue Flux light strip at a reasonable price, you can simply help yourself.
Available in the official Hue online shop from next week
According to my information, the accessories will also be available in the official Philips Hue online shop from next week. Depending on the country, there may be differences in availability. In the USA, for example, the new Hue Flux series is not officially available.

This is great News 🙂
Have been waiting for these a long time come.
Could we hope that these also fit the omiglow ?
No, they won’t fit. The shape is totally different.
Great !
so no OmniGlow accessories so far. Are they coming ? As I read in your post the self adhesive are rubbish!
Will there also be a Capacitor?
Philips Hue is taking it’s time again…
Yeah, last information from yesterday was: calendar week 8.
This looks great and I would like to buy some of the flux strip lights, but I can’t find anywhere the output voltage of the transformer they come with – I’d like to wire the strip lights into my lighting circuit, but I can’t see the necessary spec. Do you know what the spec of the transformer is?
Very happy I found hueblog.com as it gave me confidence to install strips instead of 12 hue GU10 Centrua fixings! These Flux connectors are a longtime coming!! :
I have a full room with partial install waiting for the connectors with 2 x 10m strips (1 of requires 2 90° connectors and many securing clips. and 1 needing a cut connector to reduce down to 7m and 1 90° connector). Also 2 x 6m strips which are planned to be trimmed and reconnected to 3 sets of 1.2m shelf strips each side of a media wall build.
Are there any release dates for the UK as of yet?
Is calendar week 8 next week or the week after?
